Stephen King’s ‘The Stand’ Mini Series Starts Production

Hollywood has gone silly with adapting the works of Stephen King, and it’s hard to remember the last time there’s been a period when at least 2-3 of his works weren’t in development. On that note, yet another one is ready for filming as CBS All Access has kicked off the production on its adaptation of The Stand.

The news was delivered by one of the many stars involved in the series, Amber Heard, and she shared a specific script that should have some King fans excited. Apparently, we should all get ready for “The End” because that’s coming whether we like it or not.

It’s not footage, but the mere sight of a script and the start of production should be enough to get folks excited. After all, this is the adaptation of one of Stephen King’s most revered works, and it seems like CBS All Access is doing all it can to get it right. So far they’ve got a stellar cast that includes Amber Heard, Alexander Skarsgard, James Marsden and others, so it’s on the right track.
